Abagail Gardiner is a Marketing Consultant for the Wilderness Foundation Africa and Global, and is based in the UK.
Abagail has a honours degree in Anthropology from Rhodes University. After university she work at Shamwari Game Reserve where she ran the Day Visitors Centre before moving on to becoming a Lodge Manager at Bayethe Tented Camp for 2 years. Abagail spent two years in London working for a gap year company that sent students to volunteer on the reserve.
Thereafter, she returned to Shamwari as Manager of the Born Free Foundations big cat rescue and education centre. In this time she helped the foundation rescue and relocate 5 leopards and 3 lions an unsuitable environment in Europe. In 2011 she took on more of a marketing role for the Born Free Foundation and helped with several projects in the UK and South Africa.
In 2014 Abagail joined the Wilderness Foundation Africa and is responsible for marketing activities in the UK for Wilderness Foundation Africa and Wilderness Foundation Global.
She currently lives in London with her husband Paul and daughter Rosy.
