Pearl Valley raises funds through various mechanisms, including encouraging clients to add R10 to every round of golf played, the sale of rhino plush toys and a recently launched golf club headcover in the shape of a Rhino.
The Pearl Valley Golf & Country Estate’s third annual Celebrity Golf Day held on 18 September 2015 raised R120 000 for the Forever Wild Rhino Protection Initiative. The event played out with a full field of 128 golfers and attracted the support of various celebrities, including South Africa’s top women’s golfer and Pearl Valley ambassador Lee-Anne Pace, cricketers Dale Steyn and Vernon Philander, Springbok legends Rob Louw and Tiaan Strauss, chef Reuben Riffel, television personality Katlego Maboe and actor Neels van Jaarsveld to name a few.
