Nicky Daniels is passionate about developing young people. Having completed her Degree in Social Work (Cum Laude) at the Nelson Mandela University, she began her 16-year career in tertiary education as a Student Liaison Officer, quickly working her way to facilitator and then Head of Department. Her experience in the field culminated in her becoming one of the youngest female campus managers of any private tertiary education institution in Port Elizabeth. Her achievements and passion was recognized by the Nelson Mandela Bay Business Chamber in 2015 when they named her one of the NMBBC’s Top 40 under 40 achievers in Nelson Mandela Bay.
As WFA’s Youth Development Programme Co-ordinator, Nicky manages a team of passionate individuals who all share the same vision of improving the Emotional, Social, Occupational and Environmental Wellness of young people. Continuous tenacity to play a leading role in the holistic development of the youth and a strong desire to educate young people about the importance of conservation, drives Nicky’s daily operations. She is a strong advocate of Nelson Mandela’s conviction that “Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world”.
